One Mokgatle, his wife Confidence and their daughter Amara, currently live in the beautiful east suburbs of Pretoria. The couple met while studying at the University of Pretoria. One completed his Corporate Law Degree and began working for the campus ministry (Campus Outreach Johannesburg) that he had grown spiritually in while studying at the university.

In 2009 while he was working for Campus Outreach Johannesburg, he established a relationship with LIG.punt (an Afrikaans church plant in Pretoria) and both parties realized that they share a common concern for reaching the lost through the planting of churches. One was involved in TRANS:mission, a church planter training program, where LIG.punt had the opportunity of working with the pastor of One’s local church, where he attended and served for 8 years. Together they assessed One’s character and gifting. Both parties believed that One was uniquely gifted with the qualities required to plant and lead a church. At the same time they recognized that further training would only serve to equip One more fully for this purpose. After consultation with One’s pastor, LIG.punt offered One a position as Church Planting Resident which he served in for 2 years.
In 2015, One with a small team was sent out of LIG.punt to plant Rooted Fellowship, a Gospel Centered, Disciple Making, Trans-cultural church. One is currently studying his Masters in Applied Theology at the University of Pretoria.
One’s heart and mission is to see the Gospel transform lives to the Glory of God, and ultimately be a church that continues to plant more churches in Pretoria and beyond, that reflect the rich diversity found in South Africa.
